Setup, payments, and the right fit

A free starting plan is not a complete cost comparison. Verify the current plan, transaction charges, and required extras with each vendor.

Golf tournament software setup, payment costs, and use cases
Platform	Setup or plan	Payment costs to compare	Best fit to evaluate
PinPals	$0 setup with online payments enabled	4% + $0.30 per card checkout, processing included	Charity outings and scrambles that want a built-for-you Tournament Hub
GolfStatus	No upfront-cost offering; invoicing and discount codes listed at $199/event	Request current transaction fees and the cost of required extras	Nonprofits seeking golf-specific fundraising support

PinPals does not claim to be cheapest for every event. Large outings may benefit from a flat-fee model. Offline-only PinPals events without Stripe require a separate quote.

No upfront cost is only the starting point

Compare the current processing or platform charge, sponsor services, invoicing options, and any extras your event needs. Do not assume that a free starting offer makes every transaction or optional service free.

PinPals standard online card checkouts carry one 4% + $0.30 Software & Processing Fee. Hosts choose the fee mode. Donations have 0% platform fee, with card processing still applicable. Offline transactions through enabled Pay Organizer methods have no PinPals transaction fee.

Compare what the setup team actually handles

PinPals builds your branded Tournament Hub from your outing details, including registration, sponsor packages, add-ons, and auction setup. You can review and edit the event after launch.

GolfStatus also offers organizer support. Ask each team who enters your sponsor packages, loads your event content, and helps the committee get ready for check-in and reporting. Compare the concrete work, not just the word support.

Match sponsor exposure and scoring to your outing

PinPals provides tiered sponsor recognition, logos and business links, included golfer details, printable cart signs, and mobile live scoring. Hotel room-block RSVPs can be configured for events that need them, without a payment checkout.

Confirm the sponsor placements, accommodation needs, and handicap requirements for your event. PinPals does not integrate with GHIN, so organizers needing official handicap integration should verify that requirement with other vendors.

One Tournament Hub, before and after check-in

Registration, sponsor recognition, add-ons, auctions, and scoring live together. Our team handles setup; your committee stays focused on the outing.
